The PressFit 30 combines all the advantages of the BB30 and PressFit inner bearings in a fantastic package. The PressFit 30 has a pre-assembled seal in the shells to further extend the life of the bearing. With PressFit 30, the essential difference is the way in which the bearings are fitted into the frame. These are located in nylon shells which are pressed into the bottom bracket of the frame. This inner bearing has been specially developed for 30 mm pedal bearing shafts. Therefore the bottom bracket housing must have an internal diameter of 46 mm in order to be able to use this system.
