ION's new K-Lite Zip offers knee protection for enduro-oriented riding (EN 1621-1:2012 / L1). The removable K-L1 Lite pad provides more than just abrasion protection and easily handles light to medium impacts. Pre-shaped pads follow the natural shape of the knee and offer an ergonomic fit. A seamless abrasion resistant layer at the front allows the pads to glide, so they don't lift on contact with the ground. The extremely durable, tightly woven aramid material contributes to the sturdiness. Another contribution to protection is the EVA side padding, which absorbs side impacts. If you prefer to ride without knee pads or expect long climbs, You can easily remove the knee pads thanks to the side zipper. You can open it all the way to take them off without any problems.
